This is my second trip to Norway. My last trip was in Feb ’20 (Check my blog  - https://www.gopsview.com/post/norway-feb-20). One of the main reason to do the trip for the second time is to capture Northern Lights or in other words that was my primary objective. Am I happy with what I got ? To some extent. Generally the expectation in Feb is to get more opportunities but unfortunately during the stay of about 14 days, I got the opportunity only twice. The main reason being the weather – rainy and cloudy, probably due to climate change.

Tour Date   : Lofoten – 21st Feb ’25 to 27th Feb ‘25

: Secrets of Arctic – 28th Feb ’25 to 7th Mar ‘25

Company  : Lofoten Photo tours Led by Kim Jenssen, Klaus Axelsen, Arild Heitmann, Mike Dennis

The first part of the tour was in Lofoten Island that has scenic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays & beaches. I did Lofoten in the previous trip but wasn’t happy with what I could capture. Hence decided to do this again. Almost on all the days the weather was bad – raining and cloudy. However using the condition available, managed to get a few pictures.

The second part of the tour was focussed on going to very specific and unique spots which generally no one goes as a tourist. We had some fantastic locations and good weather conditions. We were also lucky to shoot Northern lights on two days.

The group consisted of participants from various countries and it was an absolute delight to be with such a group – enthusiastic, knowledgeable and extremely creative.
