Looks like my viral is continuing .....
This is my second visit to Panna National Park. First one was with my friends (more a fun trip) and second was a serious photography trip. In this album
Tour Date : 23rd May ’25 to 27th May ‘25
Company : Toehold Photography led by Jayanth Sharma
Here again like Tadoba, Toehold had booked full day Safaris giving us the advantage of early entry, late exit and an option to exit and enter during the day time. It was hot and humid throughout the day and was worse than Tadoba. Luck seems to continue and we had some good sighting of tigers.
We used the Madla gate for all the safaris. One unique feature of this park is the boat safari on the Ken river. Some of the parks in India allow either road safari or boat safari and not both. However this a unique park where once you enter the park by normal safari, you can do the boat safari any number of time (additional charges apply) and continue with the normal safari.
Unlike other tiger reserves, here each tiger is allotted a number rather than a name. Below are some of the tigers we sighted.
P141 tigress about 7 years old
3 cubs of P141 (in the first trip to Panna). The cubs are about 4 months old
P151 tigress about 7 years old
P663 male about 6 years old
P652 tigress about 5 years old
3 sub adult cubs of P663 and P652
Geeta with 2 cubs about 3 to 4 months old
Experiencing a tiger sighting during a boat safari is truly exhilarating and unforgettable. Imagine gliding silently through the serene waters and surrounded by lush greenery and there you get to see the tigress Geetha resting under the bush, getting a respite from the hot weather. And then you see two its young cubs coming out, a sight that is mesmerising. After a certain time, she started moving gracefully along the water's edge and then swimming in the water before vanishing into the jungle.
